Pet Pride Buddy in leaves

Buddy Liver Spots

This is one of Buddy's favourite activities. He enjoys the oxygen released by plants and is often to be found in the conservatory rubbing his head and neck through the leaves of the plants. You may notice his blue eyes. He had meningitis two years ago and then developed uveitis which has affected his sight turning his beautiful hazel eyes blue. He sees movement and shapes, light and dark but little else. Consequently we have to keep a very close eye on him when we're out walking or he gets lost and attaches himself to whoever happens to be around. People find that quite endearing. If there's no-one about he sets off at speed back to the car!

Don't feel sorry for him - he's a very happy, affectionate boy.

  5. Well, after I read your post, I joined the ranks of those who think Buddy is very endearing, and special, and adorable. When I was growing up we had a three legged dog called Skipper. He was just as happy as could be running around. Great post, thank you.

  13. Thank you again, folks. Buddy is quite a character - 'a real cool dude' - and his special person is our youngest daughter who used to show him until they both got bored with the show ring.
