Skywatch Friday

Sky shots from yesterday's walk.
The clouds were building up, layer on layer and sure enough we had torrential rain last night. Judging by the sky today there's a great deal more to come. I'm going to buy some waders soon just to move around the garden. The water table is high and the rain isn't draining very quickly. Despite that I expect we'll be told we're having a drought . . .
. . . oh, and rain has stopped play at Lord's, predictably since England is doing rather well against Australia at the moment!

  1. Really nice puffy clouds! Definitely not surprising that you had the rain :)

  2. Marvelous cloud shots, they seem to change personality, going from white and puffy to darker and more ominous. Guess even the skies can have mood swings!

  4. Such dramatic skies ... your clouds are so different from the ones I shared at Happily Retired Gal this morning and photographed today while I sat writing on my patio. We could sure USE some rain here in Southern California. Thanks for dropping by ;--)

  6. Such cloud. Makes one wonder how they stay up there with so much water.
Hope that things clear up soon and you can enjoy sunshine again.
    And Cricket.

  7. I think the Australians were only too happy to take 'poor light' and retire for the night. Now let's just hope complacency doesn't settle in for the English team . . . (nails bitten to the quick, nearly . . .)

  8. Great shots! And the rain is good for the garden, although if you need waders then that's perhaps a little too much!
