Shadow Shot Sunday #63 Dingy Skipper

I'm a bit late with my post this week. This is a Dingy Skipper on a courgette leaf. Although it looks quite like a moth it is a butterfly. Thank you to 'Hey Harriet' for initiating and hosting this meme.

This year we have more wasps than butterflies, so any butterfly is welcome! Thanks for yours!

I really like the name Dingy Skipper!

That's a cool shot! I'm sorry you were late and missed adding your link to Mr Linky. I'll include this cute little butterfly in one of the collages this Sunday though :)

Thank you Tracy - most kind :-}

I agree with Tracey! Dingy Skipper is a great name! However, I have wondered what the distinctions are for moths and butterflies.

This is a clever idea and a neat post.

Thank you Abe - how's the record-breaking attempt coming on?

Paula - I had hoped to find a simple answer to your question but so far I haven't! I shall research further (ahem!) and perhaps post my findings. (Oh dear - I thought I'd given up full-time work . . . ;-})

Nice the way the shadow shows of the skipper's antenna!
