Today's Flowers #63 Clematis tangutica

I love the little lanterns of clematis tangutica and the bright yellow that lightens up a dull day.The leaves are a fresh hopeful green.

It makes a brave show with the orange pyracantha berries.

  9. I had no idea that there was a clematis flowering at this time of year. It's lovely.

Our pyracantha has had masses of berries this year, much more than I've seen before. Is that just my plant maturing or has it been the same with you?

  10. I was pleased to see it flowering again too. Yes, our pyracanthas have all had masses of berries packed really tightly on the branches - that will please the blackbirds :-)
