Shadow Shot Sunday #90

It was a lovely bright day in the forest today. It was very warm in the sun and very cold when the wind blew.
We hoped to capture Gus's first swim - but he jumped this channel easily and only paddled accidentally in the pond.
The sky really was beautifully blue

Thanks go to Tracy from 'Hey Harriet' who organises and hosts this meme each week. To see more shadowy shots please click here.

These Labs (I believe) are ready for a hard day of work, which really is play for the beautiful canines. A nice day was had by all, and the swim so much fun...

The Subaru commercial videos with the dogs are wonderful, my favorite one is where the patient pooches were denied that parking space by a cat...

Isn't it great how dogs love the mucky things in life!? It never fails, when I take the dog for a run, she finds the filthiest place to roll, jump or dive in!!
Great shadows of them both having great doggy fun!

Whenever I see your labs (and dalmatians too) out together, I wish Molly had a 'sibling' ... but I'm not up to adopting a second dog so she'll have to make do with fur-friends who live nearby and/or visit the local parks and beach.
Hugs and blessings,

Ha! Dogs do have minds of their own, don't they? Maybe next time!

Great shadow shot of your 2 dogs.

It certainly looks cold there, as it is here in Iowa, however the hardy Labrador will have no problems with it!

Gus must be a great jumper! If my dog attempted to jump that channel I'm sure she'd land smack bang in the middle (which would be funny to see!). And what a glorious blue sky!

The two dog shadows merging in the last image looks like one GIANT dog! You must've had a lovely day with them.

Sunshine, mud, water and two beautiful dogs.

Thanks, Jablog.

Years ago we had a spaniel who loved water - she would even try to swim in a puddle ... and she loved mud, so she would have had a wonderful time with your dogs!! Lovely photos!

And the cold breeze probably didn't even bother the labs! I especially like dog shadows.
I'm hoping you have your camera when Gus takes his first real swim. My BabyRocketDog (Airedale) is a big chicken in water.Supposed to be a good bird dog but she'd rather have someone fetch fot her.

I love the last photo where the two dogs seem to be looking at their shadows. Our lab Daisy wouldn't swim until she was about 6 months old. From then on, she loved it.
