We should put up some jam together sometime!Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14175778756449339363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2060029060849550094.post-6285346530485761892011-03-02T19:12:09.340+00:002011-03-02T19:12:09.340+00:00I applaud you for making the 2nd batch of jam afte...I applaud you for making the 2nd batch of jam after the mishap with the first. I think after cleaning up the aftermath I'd be tempted to throw in the towel.
I've never had a pickled onion before, but it sounds interesting.Happy@Homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15748146424809856063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2060029060849550094.post-25805744739127936852011-03-02T18:59:22.677+00:002011-03-02T18:59:22.677+00:00Oh, Janice, you are TOO funny! "Running out o...Oh, Janice, you are TOO funny! "Running out of marmalade" could describe Barry, calling you in instead of cleaning up the mess for you. More like "running from marmalade" though.
I love the description of you and dictionaries. Looking up one word definitely leads to another word, and another word, and who-knows-how-many after that. I know the feeling, I do, indeed. With no husband or dog around to call me back to reality, it can take the better part of a day, with no chance to get bored.
I also love your photo of the mixed fruit. I hope the resulting non-Seville marmalade is as good the picture.
Also laughed and laughed about craving fish and chips in the vinegary car.
You made my day, needless to say.
-- K

Kay, Alberta, Canada
An Unfittie's Guide to Adventurous TravelKay L. I have never made marmalade although I did think about it in January. I rarely make jam as I have difficulty with the setting consistency and usually end up with rock hard jam which is difficult to get out of the jar let alone spread on bread. I do however LOVE making pickles and chutney. Yours look delicious and I do hope you enjoy them.
