Microfiction Monday #40
Susan from 'Stony River' dreamt up this meme which she organises and hosts each week. Susan provides a picture and a challenge to write a fiction in 140 characters or less (including punctuation and spaces!) It's fun! Honestly! Click on her name to read more marvels of microfiction and perhaps be tempted to join in.
Here's this week's picture followed by my effort.
You'd think she'd have picked a red gerbera. Pink clashes horribly with me. Wonder if there's any water in that jug? I'm drying out here.

Love the comment about the gerbera colour! And I guess a lobster needs water as long as it's not hot!ReplyDelete
The clashing must account for the uneven bulgy eyes! He's blinded by it!ReplyDelete
Oh yes. Pink and red just shouldn't happen. Poor lobster.ReplyDelete
I love a lobster with aesthetic values :-)ReplyDelete
My lobster is color blind.ReplyDelete
Love that your's is more disserning. Nicely done!
I am too lazy to check, we have 30° again ! Tomorrow I'll go to the sea with a friend, there it's cooler !ReplyDelete
Get that lobster some water quick! Yes. Pink and blue do clash. Great story.ReplyDelete
Have a lovely week.
Someone should let the little guy know if he's that color, he's moments are numbered anyhow. He'll be history long before the daisy!ReplyDelete
Obviously a modern artist here working to raiseReplyDelete
consciousness, that different reds can work together
once one forgets the traditional view that such two reds clash!
Hi Janice, this got a laugh from me! Nice flower photo also.ReplyDelete
I'm with Anthony -- love a lobster with aesthetic values!! What a hoot! I love it, Janice! Hope you have a great week!ReplyDelete
Great fun Janice and I think you did very well with so few words. Poor lobster looks a bit flushed.ReplyDelete
I sure hope the little fellow gets to find his Briny Water, as long as it is cold.ReplyDelete
Oh, poor Louie Lobster--nothing's going right for him. If he were his natural, uncooked color, he'd be greenish, which would go well with the pink gerbera daisy. He must have a shell color disorder, too.ReplyDelete
Good job; I like it!
Somehow this reminds me that lobsters turn red when they're in the boiling water. I think. I've never boiled a lobster. This is a funny microfiction thought.ReplyDelete
Instantly I feel sorry for the poor lobster ;-)ReplyDelete
So funny...and how lovely to be privee to the thoughts of the lobster of the day...ReplyDelete
Your micro fiction is interesting and well suited for the photo. Nice effort.ReplyDelete
