Help with the laundry
Bertie decided to help with the washing on Wednesday. I thought he was going to fold some clothes for me but he was busy checking the dimensions of the laundry basket. By the time he had finished doing that he was tired so went to sleep.
He's a roughty-toughty working dog (apparently)so soft cuddly towels are out. All our dogs are trained from an early age to perform the biological pre-wash on dishes - then the dishwasher (auotmatic, not human) ensures that all germs are killed!!
The resident cats like to sleep on top of the folded-and-waiting-to-be-ironed laundry, except Ming who loves Marius' perspiration and snuggles into the dirty basket. No accounting for taste.
There are laws against forcing young dogs to work so hard, beware!
We usually find the dogs sleeping in the 'to be washed' laundry - mainly because they haven't yet worked out how to get up to the baskets of clean laundry on top of the freezer.
It's much to hard work for a small dog like Bertie. What lovely shots. Thanks, Janice.
ReplyDeleteYou have such fun entertainment with your fur babies. Cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, indeed. Almost foetus like.
ReplyDeleteAaaw :o)
ReplyDeleteThat looks ever so comfortable. I'm jealous.

ReplyDeleteCute, but how very inconsiderate of you not to have left a warm and cuddly bath towel for him to cuddle in!!
ReplyDeleteAw, Bertie! I want some help with my laundry, too!
ReplyDeleteClearly not a laundry dog. Have you tried him on the dishes?

Lol ! how sweet ! I also have little helpers when I do the laundry, especially when it's already washed and dry it's so nice to sit in the basket !
ReplyDeleteCats like clean laundry:-)
ReplyDeleteAhhh, what a sweetie, I'm surprised there's not a cat trying to shove him out of it though :O) By the way, love your header image.
ReplyDeleteSo cute. I wish my dogs would help with the laundry!
ReplyDeleteAnd to think that people actually spend big bucks on dog beds.
ReplyDeleteOh, he's getting big, isn't he? What a darlin' dog!

Happy day****
Loved this - am sat here smiling!
ReplyDeleteBertie is so cute! Next time maybe he'll wait till there are some clothes in it before he checks it out. ;)
ReplyDeleteI fell asleep on a bench at the beach, at least momentarily, just sitting there. So it can happen to anybody!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute. My furry, not so little, helper likes to leap into the basket as soon as the clothes come out of the drier.
ReplyDeleteWe have a picture of our Irish Setter just like this one, in a laundry basket...taken over 40 years ago. Thanks for the memory.
ReplyDeleteAwww! Your laundry basket is SO much cuter than mine!
ReplyDeleteAw. Clearly the sweetheart didn't want the basket to feel empty and unloved.
ReplyDeleteUnless he was just measuring and warming it for you.
You are too funny. As is Bertie.
