Mag 185 Calculations
Boy
in Dining Car by Norman Rockwell, 1946
The
artist’s ten-year-old son, Peter, was the model for the boy in the painting. It
describes a young boy’s first experience of calculating a waiter’s tip.
Peter said, ‘I wish I’d paid more attention when we did
percentages.’
The waiter said, ‘Don’t worry, son, I can wait. It’s what I’m
paid to do.’
Very clever!!
