Update on
Gus
Phil-the-Vet phoned to tell us that the tumour is benign and
should ‘drop off’ (highly technical
term!) in two or three months. Much relief all round.
Meanwhile, not to be outdone, Frodo the Faller developed a strange patch
on his head. I thought it was food but when I cleaned it I discovered that he
had grazed his head. He has a habit of investigating the dishes in the
dishwasher when I’m stacking it and I can only think he caught the top of his
head on the upper arm of the machine. The patch doesn’t seem to bother him and
the other animals haven’t investigated it so I don’t think it’s anything to
worry about. It actually looks better today. There was slight swelling there
but that has reduced. Yesterday we thought we would have to take him to the vet
but now I think it will get better on its own.
"Drop off." Highly technical indeed!
ReplyDeleteOdd, really, when they so often blind one with science;-)
DeleteGlad Gus is okay!! I take two of my three in for dental cleanings this week. Always hate having them put under anesthesia.
ReplyDeleteI hope they will recover quickly. Some dogs have odd reactions to anaesthetics.
DeleteGood news on Gus and wishing Frodo a speedy recovery from his bump. It has been lovely catching up with your posts today Janet.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Denise. It's nice to be back.
