Togetherness
Gilbert: Ill put my paw on his head to remind him to be gentle. His teeth are sharp.
Gilbert: I like him licking my head.Herschel: Does that feel good, too?
Herschel:
I’ll give him a friendly headbutt.
Gilbert: Just be careful, Herschel. All right?
Herschel: I really love you, Gilbert.Gilbert: I love you, too, Herschel.Gilbert: Do you like me stroking you, Herschel?Gilbert: Let me whisper in your ear.Gilbert:
I could get your head in my mouth if I really wanted to.
Those two are so sweet. On a good day that could be me and Lola, she butts her head under my chin when she wants a cuddle.
ReplyDeleteIt always feels like such a compliment when cats do that.
Deleteso cute :)
ReplyDeleteIt puts the lie to those who say cats and dogs don't get on.
DeleteHow precious they both are! Gosh they must be good friends ... I am wondering if they ever have a tiff?
ReplyDeleteIf the claws or teeth are too insistent, a quick 'grump' from the offended dog suffices and mutual respect is assured.
DeleteI wish our children were as gentle and loving with each other as your Gilbert and Herschel are.
ReplyDeleteSaying that people fight like cat and dog is really quite an insult to cats and dogs!
DeleteThat is just adorable.
ReplyDeleteIt's delightful to see them together.
DeleteLovely photo's, the only time we had a dog and cat, we had a boxer, and a tiny cat, the cat always ruled.
ReplyDeleteCats are definitely in charge.
ReplyDeleteNow there's some really cute family photos.
ReplyDeleteAnimal family photos are pleasing.
DeleteJust very, very super cute :-)
ReplyDeleteThey are good together.
DeleteSuch sweet photos. We haven't had a missive from Gilbert for a while.
ReplyDeleteYes,. Gilbert has been quite quiet lately . . .
DeleteThey certainly do get along well, don't they?
ReplyDeleteThey do.
DeleteIt makes us realize that our affection for our pets is only a small part of a much bigger picture of affection and sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love observing the close friendships that animals form. Gilbert and Herschel are an adorable pair.
ReplyDeleteHerschel and Jellicoe each get on well with the dogs, just not with each other most of the time.
DeleteAw, that's so sweet
ReplyDeleteThey are sweet . . . timewasters;-)
DeleteHow lovely these photographs of Gilbert and Herschel are.
ReplyDeleteSweetness overload, I love it :)
All the best Jan
Animals are great subjects for photography.
DeleteWhat a cute photo essay.
ReplyDeleteAh, thank you.
DeleteThese are so lovely , our Jas is not on first name terms with any cats and now our naughty young westie has persuaded Jas that all felines are dog bait 😩😏
