Togetherness

Togetherness

Gilbert: Ill put my paw on his head to remind him to be gentle. His teeth are sharp.

Gilbert: I like him licking my head.

Herschel: Does that feel good, too?

Herschel: I’ll give him a friendly headbutt.

Gilbert: Just be careful, Herschel. All right?

Herschel: I really love you,  Gilbert.

Gilbert: I love you, too, Herschel.

Gilbert: Do you like me stroking you, Herschel?

Gilbert:  Let me whisper in your ear.

Gilbert: I could get your head in my mouth if I really wanted to.

Herschel: Time for a snooze.

  1. Those two are so sweet. On a good day that could be me and Lola, she butts her head under my chin when she wants a cuddle.

    1. It puts the lie to those who say cats and dogs don't get on.

  3. How precious they both are! Gosh they must be good friends ... I am wondering if they ever have a tiff?

    1. If the claws or teeth are too insistent, a quick 'grump' from the offended dog suffices and mutual respect is assured.

  4. I wish our children were as gentle and loving with each other as your Gilbert and Herschel are.

    1. Saying that people fight like cat and dog is really quite an insult to cats and dogs!

  5. Lovely photo's, the only time we had a dog and cat, we had a boxer, and a tiny cat, the cat always ruled.

  10. It makes us realize that our affection for our pets is only a small part of a much bigger picture of affection and sharing.

    1. Herschel and Jellicoe each get on well with the dogs, just not with each other most of the time.
