Pinched!

Pinched!

We could learn a lot from ants about how to live communally. They're not peaceable creatures, though.

. . . if you B&Q it!

  1. All of these are BRILL!!!!Especially the ants- who have taken over our cracked driveway, burrowing through to lessen stability. Bless their little hearts- do they have hearts?

    1. I had to find out and yes, ants do have hearts, but they are very simple tubes!

  2. I love the ant notice. They'll survive us anyway!

  3. Timely post as the annual ant invasion of homes where I live has begun.

    1. diatomaceous earth placed against the foundation of the house on the soil just before a rain has always solved the problem for us in a environmentally sound, nontoxic way. Good luck.

    2. Ants are fine, so long as they stay outside! Debby's deterrent method sounds good.

  4. Love these, especially that last one. Obviously the driver was convinced that he COULD do it and, just as obviously, he was wrong!

    1. Some people are simply over-confident. How embarrassing, though.

  5. I loved the memes, but I need to ask about the banner picture. That looks like a lilac, but I have never seen a lilac encircled by white before. Do you know what kind of lilac that is?

    1. It is a lilac, called 'Sensation.' I had never seen it before and thought it must be a new variety but discovered that it was first introduced in 1938. Apparently, it's one of the most popular bi-coloured lilacs. I'm trying to find space in my garden for one.

  6. I especially like the bus destination. I saw a bus in New Zealand displaying, "I'm going back to the depot for a rest".

  7. "You Can Do It" No, you can't. How sure are we that ants can't already read?

  8. Good picture finds.
There is a low bridge in a close village and it's been hit and trucks stuck under it umpteen times - never understood why!

    1. I think drivers blithely follow their SatNav and could there be different settings for cars, lorries and coaches.I am not a driver so don’t know these things.

    2. Other countries raise their bridges, apparently . . .
