Blue Burmese kitten, Pansy Blue, many years ago!

Pansy Blue, one of our blue Burmese kittens. Genetically, blue is a dilution of black. Her mother was brown, her siblings chocolate or brown. No lilacs in this particular litter.

In different lights Pansy looked more silver than blue.

A blue background complemented her colour.

Here she is curled up with a chocolate friend. To us she was, quite correctly, 'blue' - but to the uninitiated she was grey!
