We have had cold crisp weather for the last couple of days with lots of snow flurries and a biting wind. It reminds Barry and me of the winters of our childhood - in recent years winters have been wet and, if not warm, at least mild. It is good - no, really it is! - to experience defined seasons.
Yesterday's clouds were taken by me with my Canon Ixus.
Barry used his Canon EOS 40D to take today's photos.

Nice series of the slowly emerging light. I like the pink clouds. We've been short on colorful skies here of late.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful captures, my friend!! Love your composition, the colors, the bare trees against the sky! Perfect! Hope you have a lovely weekend!

ReplyDeleteThe clouds look amazing.
ReplyDeleteSydney - City and Suburbs
Both of you captured terrific clouds. Very distinct from each other, too.
ReplyDeleteA New Old Fairy Tale
Fabulous shots of changing colors in the sky.
ReplyDeleteThe first photo I see circling waves very stunning!
ReplyDeleteRomantic Sunset
Lovely sky series ... methinks the second and third are my favorites ... the silhouettes are nifty.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Beautiful photos! I really like the view through the trees -- quite nice! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, - the trees silhouetted against the paleness of the sky are stunning.
ReplyDeleteAs a hydrologist I approve of those clouds!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! Yes, I must admit I like winter. It's often beautiful and it makes me appreciate fall and spring. I much prefer the cold to sweltering heat.
ReplyDeleteLove those pink clouds
ReplyDeleteThese are, in the words of the Romantics, sublime. I frequently rant to my students about how well photography is able to evoke the aesthetics of painting, and these remind me both of Friedrich and Turner. What a nice way to start a weekend.
ReplyDeleteI sure do like the coulds highlighted by the pink hues.
ReplyDeleteGood captures.
