SkyWatch Friday Season 4 Episode 31

We have had cold crisp weather for the last couple of days with lots of snow flurries and a biting wind. It reminds Barry and me of the winters of our childhood - in recent years winters have been wet and, if not warm, at least mild. It is good - no, really it is! - to experience defined seasons.
Yesterday's clouds were taken by me with my Canon Ixus.

Barry used his Canon EOS 40D to take today's photos.

  1. Nice series of the slowly emerging light. I like the pink clouds. We've been short on colorful skies here of late.

  13. Beautiful photos! Yes, I must admit I like winter. It's often beautiful and it makes me appreciate fall and spring. I much prefer the cold to sweltering heat.

  14. These are, in the words of the Romantics, sublime. I frequently rant to my students about how well photography is able to evoke the aesthetics of painting, and these remind me both of Friedrich and Turner. What a nice way to start a weekend.
