Wonderful photos. It is certainly a lovely time of year. I love when you can walk the fields and see the spiders' webs everywhere. It's so amazing that there are so many of them!
The second English spider webs I am seeing this evening, the other in a misty London. The photos of the webs show them as being quite artful but the last web looks like a crazy and absolutely wonderful mess. I think drugs must have been involved.
That first line made me think you were about to give us a poem...
It’s that time of year When spiders spin their silken webs And catch the morning dew As I smoke a Woodbine and read "The Sun" While sitting on the loo.
I had thought about attempting a poem, but decided against it. You can thank me later. Woodbines takes me back to my parents' newsagents and confectioners - all those exotic, evocative names of tobacco and cigarettes. Shame about the nicotine . . .
As much as I am disgusted by the view of a spider and would run away, as much I admire their cobwebs ! Real artworks ! I have one spider (outside) I have never seen, but each morning I can see a new cobweb which it had spun during the night, and with the sun shining on it, it is real a beautiful artwork !
I am always amazed when I see the spider webs on the bushes in the morning dew. They look so pretty. You've captured some good shots of the spider's creations.
Enjoyed your pictures and now I know why this happens. We have shrubs in front of our house and the spiders like to build webs on them. In October they are our Halloween decorations.
This is really the best time of year here in Southeast Texas and spiders are a part of that. This week I have been enjoying a spider and its web that was built just outside my library window. I like to think it was for my own edification and entertainment!
The spider webs are so pretty to see in the garden and even more so when they have a frosted coating. I'm not sure how spiders feel about that pleasure though :-)

ReplyDeleteIt's amazing that there are so many.
DeleteThat spider web is looking so exquisite
ReplyDeleteIt's a little work of art.
Delete😲
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of spiders??
DeleteI agree that fall spider webs are especially impressive.
ReplyDeleteThey catch the eye when they're covered in dew.
DeleteThe webs are beautiful, so large and thick enough to be seen easily. We don't get that where I am.
ReplyDeleteOur spiders aren't as scary as yours, though.
DeleteThe last photo (and header) looks like a boat with its sails unfurled.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't noticed that, but you're right.

ReplyDeleteThese modern youngsters, eh?
DeleteAs a child I used to think they were fairy blankets .
ReplyDeleteThey are so delicate.
Fairy blankets - that is so lovely.

ReplyDeleteWebs are so intricate and delicate. Beautiful artwork, as you say.
ReplyDeleteThey are simply so beautiful and so imaginable how they weave them over and over again when they have to. These are great pictures thanks
ReplyDeleteSuch incredible work from such tiny creatures.
DeleteVery pretty but horrible to walk into!
ReplyDeleteI've learnt to walk with something held in front of me. Much as I admire them, I hate walking into them.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Judee. That's Barry's camera work. 😃
DeleteShivers
ReplyDeleteI don't like cobwebs across my face, not even dewy ones.

ReplyDeleteHomegrown decorations - I like it!

ReplyDelete. . . but of course! Spiders are empathetic (I wish I believed that!)
ReplyDeleteGoodness, those pictures are great.
ReplyDeleteThank you - I'll pass the compliment to the photographer. 😁
DeleteThe webs look beautiful, and I like JayCee's comment about them being fairy blankets :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I can just imagine a little girl saying that.
DeleteIt's interesting how spiders weave their webs.
ReplyDeleteThey are clever engineers.
DeleteGorgeous. They create such wonderful images.

ReplyDeleteThey don't feel the cold - just as well, really.
DeleteWhat lovely photos, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
