ABC Wednesday Round 9 C is for Clematis

Clematis in the garden in July and August
Clematis 'Pille' grows vigorously over one of the arches from July to September
Clematis 'Comtesse de Bouchard' grows in our front garden during June, July, August and September
Clematis tangutica flowers from July to October
When the flowers go over they are replaced by these pretty seed heads
Clematis 'Huldine' is another strong climber, flowering, like tangutica, from late summer to late autumn
On the reverse of each petal are three purple stripes

All these clematis should be pruned hard before spring growth starts
