Six weeks for a custard pie!

Jonathan May-Bowles, the man who threw a custard pie at Rupert Murdoch, has been sentenced to six weeks in jail and told that he must serve at least half that time. (Why give a sentence and then halve it – crackers – but that’s a rant for another day!)

Meanwhile, thugs convicted of common assault frequently receive a mere caution and a night in a cell. I think there are many people who believe Mr May-Bowles deserves a medal.

The prisons are already full to overflowing with people who really shouldn’t be in them while the real villains, who steal pension pots and run drug rings and adopt corrupt business practices are left at liberty to continue lying, cheating and hiding behind their wealth.

What price Justice? What happened to common sense?
