Today's Flowers #110 Sunflowers

We didn't plant any sunflowers this year but some came up anyway, courtesy of the birds! In fact, quite a number of flowers are 'planted' by our feathered friends - a little thank you, maybe? (Too fanciful, I know!)

  3. I've planted sunflowers and had none come up, and I thought it was the fault of the birds. Maybe they were just bad seeds.

  7. That's fun when that happens ... as long as they don't shade out the ones you did plant. One year growing up I remember the tomatoes taking over the garden.

  8. I've given up trying to grow sunflowers, the squirrels in my yard seem to think I plant the flowers as treats for them. Yours are beautiful, I really like the second photo.
