Whoosh, I suppose he will be granted bail. I suppose it is to do with selling the countries secrets. Maybe not selling, just blabbing stuff he shouldn't.
Oh I am not sure about noone is above the law. People in authoritative positions have always been above the law. Who do politicians, church ministers, school principals, millionaires, police, judges have to answer to?
Here in the United States I woke up hearing this news and was stunned. This never would’ve happened in our country. At least there’s a chance for justice outside of the US. I hope whatever justice this man deserves is speedy and very public
I am glad that at least your country is dealing with the lawbreakers. I keep hoping that perhaps one of these people in other countries will shed light on the lawbreaking of so many of our people in high places!

ReplyDeleteHe is a disgrace, pompous and arrogant.
DeleteYou resp what you sow,
ReplyDeleteIt's been a long time coming.
DeleteLong overdue. I think there could be real trouble for the monarchy if prpoer justice is not carried out.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I hope he doesn't get the preferential treatment he obviously thinks he deserves.
DeleteOh I am not sure about noone is above the law. People in authoritative positions have always been above the law. Who do politicians, church ministers, school principals, millionaires, police, judges have to answer to?
ReplyDeleteThey all answer, eventually, though it may take some time.
DeleteYou think no one was above the wall until you lived over here and had our president.
ReplyDeleteLuckily the UK doesn’t have a presidential system where one person can weaponize law enforcement
DeleteThere is corruption everywhere, but law is mostly just in UK.
DeleteAbout time.
ReplyDeleteYes!
DeleteI wish the same could said on this side of the pond.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Maybe, soon . . .
DeleteI just saw this on the morning news. I wish the people also involved on this side of the pond would face the law.
ReplyDeleteQuite so.
DeleteHow embarrassing for the Royals
ReplyDeleteAlison in Devon x
Perhaps they hoped he would have a fit of conscience - not much chance of that.
DeleteIt doesn’t seem to apply to all countries, or certainly not at all times in all countries.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteI'm glad the late Queen didn't live to see this.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts, precisely.
DeleteOh boy, not the gift anyone wants.
ReplyDeleteNot at all, but I must admit to feeling slightly sorry for him, then thought again and decided he didn't deserve any sympathy.
DeleteHigh time. Maybe he'll face a reckoning for his high times.
ReplyDeleteWe live in hopes.
DeleteI reckon the police loved that job!
ReplyDeleteServes him right - A real royal idiot.
I can just imagine him blustering and blowing and trying to throw his weight around.
DeleteEveryone has already said what I would have said... evidently NOT in the USA
ReplyDeleteSad for the USA.
DeleteA birthday gift that I am sure he was not expecting......OR was he?
ReplyDeleteHe's not renowned for introspection, so it may well have come as a nasty surprise.
DeleteGood - now for Mandelson ... stupid chaps ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely.

ReplyDelete. . . and so say all of us!
DeleteSo do we all.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that at least your country is dealing with the lawbreakers. I keep hoping that perhaps one of these people in other countries will shed light on the lawbreaking of so many of our people in high places!
ReplyDeleteWe all live in hopes of retribution and fair judgement.
