Robin Cooper gets in the bath

Robert Popper’s alter ego Robin Cooper continues his monologue on bathing . . .

My favourite line in this made me laugh out loud - 'I'm a traditionalist.'

The guitar music in the background to these audio clips is played (and probably composed) by Robert Popper.

Friday Night Dinner

Friday Night Dinner

Friday Night Dinner, known to the cognoscenti (love that word!) as FND, starts a second series on Sunday 7^th October. You may hate it – that’s your prerogative, but if you like it, even love it, don’t forget to turn on and tune in to Channel 4(that sounds rather old-fashioned, somehow, like a 60s rock ‘n’ roll show)  on Sunday 7th  October at 10.00 p.m. (or 22.00 hours)

I am reliably informed by sources close to the writer (actually the writer himself) that Grandma features quite heavily. Of course, he may be teasing . . .

My apologies to those of you who may not be able to access the YouTube clip.

Another inspired bit of lunacy . . .

Another inspired bit of lunacy . . .

Following Chelsea’s win against Bayern Munich on Saturday came this claim from Robin Cooper, creator of ‘The Timewaster Letters’ and ‘The Timewaster Diaries.’

Robin Cooper is the alter ego of Robert Popper, creator and writer of ‘Friday Night Dinner’ and co-creator and writer with Peter Serafinowicz of ‘Look Around You.’

I think this might be a good night out!

Friday Night Dinner and Book Blurb

You may remember me writing about a series launch Barry and I went to a couple of weeks ago. The series is called 'Friday Night Dinner' and the first episode is being shown at 10:00 pm tonight on Channel 4. It's written by Robert Popper who wrote 'The Timewaster Letters' and 'The Timewaster Diaries', 'Look Around You' and a few episodes of 'South Park' among other things.  I'm looking forward to watching it again.

The other thing I'm excited about is a new meme being organised by Lisa Ricard Claro of 'Writing in the Buff. It's called 'Book Blurb Friday' and starts next Friday, March 4th. Basically, the objective is to write a book blurb prompted by an illustration Lisa will post on her blog. You can find out more about it here. The first photo has been posted so, if you think you'd like to participate, you have a week to think about the book the photo might accompany!
