Jabs
Just had a jab today. Another one is due on Monday. Pincushion, anyone?
On the way, we passed a new apartment block. How on earth it acquired planning permission I’ll never know. It’s hideous. Apparently, it’s for assisted living . . . I must remember to take a photograph on Monday.
Hopefully the inside is attractive for the folks living there. Did you get a cute bandaid? It seems they are standard anymore when I get a shot.
ReplyDeleteI find when I get a shot at the pharmacy, the band-aid advertises them! I told them they ought to pay me for the advertising space on my arm
ReplyDeleteIn my area assisted living centers are popping up like mushrooms thanks to all the baby boomers aging into them.
ReplyDeleteAs much as we don't like to admit it there is a lot of 'insider' deals being done where development and building consents are concerned. Before we left we saw an example of a housing development along a motorway where the original consent required triple glazing. Somehow the developers later got that downgraded to double glazing and fixed windows (not opening) - with optional at buyers cost installation of air con! The Council got a good deal on something else somewhere else....
ReplyDeleteI had my flu shot last Wednesday and we don't get bandaids, just a cotton swab and a bit of tape holding it down.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing those in need of asisted living won't care what the outside of the building looks like, but it would look dreary to those visiting loved ones.
It seems assisted living developments are springing up everywhere!
ReplyDeleteHope the Monday 'jab' goes well.
All the best Jan
