Since I am allergic to wasps these photos sent chills up my spine!!
I've never heard of hoverflies before. Wikipedia says they are often mistaken for wasps and hornets because of their covering, so I'm feeling guilty in case I've ever killed them by mistake. I don't even know if we have them around here, so you can tell it doesn't take much to make me feel guilty.
