NaNoWriMo No More

I reached 57078 words today, decided that was the end of my novel and submitted all 40 chapters. I suppose it will disappear into the ether now.

It’s called ‘The Sweets and the Bitters of Love’ (thank you, Lord Byron) and it ended up being a romance, which was quite a surprise to me.

What can I take up now to avoid the housework??

I still can’t work out how the NaNo site made it 57238 words, though.

Another thought – shouldn’t it be InNoWriMo – International Novel Writing Month? Last time I looked UK wasn’t part of the USA where NNWM originated ;-)

  8. Congratulations! A great accomplishment, I think. Avoid housework? You need to edit and then send it in to a publisher. Or make it into an ebook and sell it yourself.

  10. Congratulations on your novel. I love it when I surprise myself, and my characters or story line weave without much work. Housework, ahhh forget about it. Pull out your vacuum cleaner and leave it in the middle of the room; when soemone comes, tell
them you were about to clean house.

  11. Thank you everyone. I like the idea of leaving the vacuum cleaner in the room as if ready for use - the trouble is it would terrify Gus (number three dog)

  16. Congratulations! That is a overwhelming number of words. I say let the housework go for awhile and bask in the after glow of the accomplishment.
