Reading
List
All the blogs in my Reading List have disappeared. It happened
just as I was spending some time catching up on them. Were they spirited away
by some unseen Force or did they see me coming and run away?
The blogs have always returned on previous occasions but I have
an uneasy feeling that maybe, just maybe, this time they will abandon me
completely. I shall be bereft. I shall have to search my memory to find them
again. But suppose I can’t remember? Shall I have to search out new blogs? Will
my followers leave (unfollow as it is
known on Twitter) in disappointment that I no longer visit their blogs?
Come back, blogs – I miss you. I didn’t mean to treat you so
meanly. I promise I will pay you more attention if only you will return.
Yours, in
sorrowful hope . . .
Hi Janice
ReplyDeleteFor some reason this computer thinks it is in Kelowna, British Columbia, and I thought I had changed it, but I see it appearing on your sidebar as Kelowna.
Sometimes computers, and computer programs, and, obviously, websites, do inexplicable things. I never cease to be surprised, but I am no longer amazed.
Sure do hope your reading list turns up again.

That's horrid. I hope they do come back. Has it lost all the blogs you were following or just the gadget in your sidebar? You might be able to re-install through Google reader if not. I wish I could be more help.
ReplyDeleteYou know Janice, that happened to me once. I was so upset and I truly hope yours return. What I did was after seeing a similar blog somewhere, start a new blog just for blog addresses. In the meantime people started signing up again and each one that did I added it to my new blog-roll blog. Whenever I have the time I still enjoy adding new blogs.
ReplyDeleteThat happens every so often to me as well .. they always come back. Just pop in and out a bit and they should reappear. Unnerving though isn't it?
ReplyDeleteHi Janice....I hope I am back. I would miss you if I never saw your words in my blog again!!
ReplyDeleteAt first I was disillusioned. I'd always thought you were such an accomplished techie. But now I see that as usual Google has been having fun with other blogs. You know those signs you see in china shops, "Please Do Not Touch" Someone needs to send Blogger a giant sized one of those. They just can't help fiddling -- got to be one step ahead of some other company.
ReplyDeleteHonnestly I don't even know what a "Reader list" is ! I use Google Reader and it shows me all my blogfriends whom I had subscribed when they have a new post. So that can't disappear, because it's something seperated. Unfortunately,I can't help you.
ReplyDeleteThank you all:-)
ReplyDeleteMy list has returned!
I'm so glad you got your blog list back. I didn't know things like that could happen.
