As a way of showing people how intelligent rescue dogs can be a New Zealand charity has taught dogs to drive and filmed them.

I hope you can all see it - it's amazing!

  1. This is wonderful, Janice. Dogs are far more intelligent than people think they are.
Of course, no dog is going to decide "I want to drive the car" although Lindy loves to sneak into the front seat if we haven't done up her car-harness. But we can teach them one thing at a time, and eventually they will realize that doing all those things in the right order will take them where they want to go. LOL
I sent this link to my brothers and my niece, and I'd better send it to my husband, too.

  2. That is fantastic! Lovely clever dogs! The sweet thing is though, that they are doing it all for treats! Well, probably treats and love.

  11. I did see this on the TV news the other night and was rather shocked. It's pretty darn amazing, especially since I hate to drive.
