Very true ! Except Arthur, he waited in front of my neighbor's house until I came out again, even if I stayed 3 hours ! But he was an exception.

And now I want to cry a little, even though I haven't had a dog since I was a teenager. They really are pure souls.
Thank you all. There are countless stories of dogs' devotion. Greyfriars Bobby is one of the best known and always brings a lump to my throat.
I'm not sure of it's generally true for cats too, but it definitely is for our Bess! xxx
