Here is this week’s picture accompanied by my offerings.
Horrified, he discovered that he had drawn from his scabbard not a sword but a parasol. Valiantly he battled on, blocking his enemy’s blows.

Forensic pathologists were astounded. Cause of death? Microscopic samurai hidden under cocktail umbrella. The victim never saw his killers.

My take exactly! thanks-
ReplyDeleteGreat offerings today! 1st one--We hope it was a steel parasol. What a wicked sabotage of the mighty warrior.
ReplyDelete2nd one--"microscopic Samurai"--I love it
J.B, I wouldn't place any money on this first brave and valiant warrior. He needed more practice before taking on this opponent.
ReplyDeleteMoral of the second story, let us all look under our cocktail umbrellas.
..
Oh, I love them both, Janice! How fun! Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
And as they rain down he doesn't get wet :-)
ReplyDeleteNice one.
Oh dear, poor chubby one ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. Small cocktail sword was the cause of death.
ReplyDeletebet no one believed it!
Lol ! at least you are an optimist because he uses a parasol and not an umbrella !
ReplyDeleteI love the microscopic idea! LOL

Love the cocktails idea! Very clever! Doubt that anyone else will refer to the Microscopic samurai on this one!
ReplyDelete:)
This begs the question - who replaced his sword with a parasol? Someone's trying to kill him!
ReplyDeleteGotta love a picture that lets you use words like "scabbard" and "valiantly"!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't quite as creative as you and your microscopic samurai. A couple of good ones, Janice!

He is pretty gallant to use an umbrella-that or not to brainy. Good takes this week!
ReplyDeleteTwo neat writes! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThe second one gets my vote!
ReplyDeleteBoth are terrific, but I love the visual mystery of the second. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is very original and so much fun! I'll have to check under my drink parasols from now on.
ReplyDeleteTwo fantastic microfictions! I had to look up scabbard for the first, thanks for teaching me a new word. And love the forensic pathologist and the idea of a miniature samurai in the second! :>
