Moments

Moments

Just a reminder, should you need one, that this is the box my food comes in.

I can barely keep my eyes open. I need sustenance,  I shall soon have to go and sit on Janice to remind her to fill my bowl.

Roxy enjoys her chew. She is an enthusiastic and noisy consumer of chews. If she were to eat boiled sweets - and given half a chance, she would! - she would be a cruncher, not a sucker.

She finishes her chew quickly then looks round to see if there are any more on offer.

Ah, yes, Master Gilbert is still munching his chew. He's slower,  much quieter, a more reflective consumer. Sometimes, he can be persuaded to give his chew to Roxy. It's not so much 'give' as fail to retain. He's a good boy, though, and doesn't complain, and there's not much left, really.

Chews are good for the teeth and jaws and also for the furniture, pencils, shoes, flower pots and anything else that would otherwise be used as tooth cleaning apparatus.

  1. All the things we are busy with in life and all well treated pets have to think about is food and walks. It seems a bit unfair to me.

  2. I would love to have teeth that strong. Is that Jellicoe waiting for more food?

  3. Those moments are adorable.
Nobby is an inveterate chewer who will use anything and everything available to satisfy his urge. I guess he does at least have a rather fine, sparkling clean set of gnashers!

    1. . . . and strong jaws, too, so necessary for a terrier!

  4. Perfect companions, only one of my cats likes a box, dear Grace at 18 years old, is just not interested at all, she loves her comfortable spots, which Purdy always has 2nd choice on.

    1. Our cats are brothers and both like boxes, the smaller the better!

  5. That's a funny picture the cat in the box ! Rosie is a strange cat when it comes to food. She NEVER eats during the day, or claims for food, but she eats the whole night, dry and wet food in unbelievable quantities, a real old grandma and with that a skinny minny !

  7. Cats are fascinating and elegant. I was watching Jellicoe washing yesterday - so thorough and neat.

  8. If only some of my human teeth had not cracked and been covered with crowns, lol. Lucky pups to chew so well. And Jellicoe, you look to sleepy to be hungry. Of course, if Precious is asleep and I tell her it is dinner time, she wakes quickly.

  10. I saw a collie trying to chew rocks today. I wish its owner cared more for the state of the collie's teeth. (And love your cat-in-a-box.)

  11. I suppose it depends what's on the rocks - barnacles, maybe?
