Gilbert the Good and the Squeaker
I am sorry to report that my honking duck has been confiscated once again. I deconstructed it the other day and removed the squeaker. It is beyond repair – the squeaker, that is.I think Janice can repair the duck. I hope so, anyway. Strangely, she didn’t want to do it immediately. She said something about it being ‘all slobbery.’ I was quite insulted. I don’t slobber. I know I dribble water all over the floor when I have a drink but that’s because I’m in a hurry. There’s always something else needing my attention. This is our water bucket. It used to contain fish food. There is another full bucket in the garage, maybe even two. I think there may have been a special offer . . . Whatever the reason, it’s going to take a long time before those buckets are emptied ‘cos all the fish have disappeared, again.TTFN

Gilbert, deconstructed my hat. You massacred the duck until it honked no more. I don't suppose you know anything about the missing fish too?
ReplyDeleteGilbert says: I don't know what you mean. Woof!
Deletelol, both of you!
DeleteOh that innocent, slightly worried looking face 😍😂
ReplyDeleteAs soon as that slobber is dry Janice - out with the needle and thread!

I know. I shouldn't delay.
DeleteGilbert, I am wondering, will you find a silent duck so interesting? I know I wouldn't.
ReplyDeleteToodle-oo!
Nobby.
Gilbert says: No, but it's better than nothing. Woof!
DeleteA quackless duck is not much fun is it?
ReplyDeleteJanice needs to get quacking on repairs or renewals doesn't she!
Gilbert says: Quacking - ho, ho, ho. I'll nudge Janice to get on with it. Woof!
DeletePerhaps a new squeaker can be inserted when the duck gets repaired? Now, about those missing fish....
ReplyDeleteA new squeaker is a good idea. A new duck is even better :-)
DeleteGilbert, tell her to buy all new ! Repaired things don't last long, especially when you play with it !
ReplyDeleteGilbert says: You're so right. Woof!
DeleteDear gilbert, we certainly hope you get that squeaky duck back. I mean after all you are a good bird retriever I am sure. And no there's no way that you could have been slobbering.
ReplyDeleteGilbert says: Thank you. It's so nice when people understand. Woof!
DeleteOh Gilbert, a dog has to do what a dog has to do ;)
ReplyDeleteGilbert says: Thank you for understanding. Woof!
DeleteGilbert, who’s a good boi? - CJ
ReplyDeleteGilbert says: Me! Me! Me! Woof!
DeleteGilbert, just keep giving Janice that look and I'm sure she'll make a dash for the sewing basket.
ReplyDeleteGilbert says: Janice doesn't do much dashing, but I'm sure she'll get to it soon. Woof!
DeleteGilbert: You are a good boy and would never ever slobber, we all know that :)
ReplyDeleteJanice: Thank you for the smiles today!
Gilbert says: I'm glad someone realises how innocent I am. Woof!
ReplyDeleteJanice says: Thank you, Jenny :-)
Thank you for my late evening smiles ... a fun post.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Glad you enjoyed them.
DeleteI used to keep both freshwater and sea water aquariums. It is hard work
ReplyDeleteAt one time, we had two marine aquaria - it was a never-ending task. The garden pond has been rather neglected so needs an overhaul - again! 😒
DeleteThanks for visiting and commenting on my blog. I'm sure it was less readable than the thoughts of your very eloquent dog.
ReplyDeleteGilbert's vocabulary is improving every day.
DeleteI don't know how Janice can possibly resist that sad little face of yours! xxx
