Paw It Forward

A few days ago a parcel arrived from the North of Scotland. We had to put the opening of it on hold as we had rather a lot of visitors in the house, some with two legs, others with four, and it was all very busy with much coming and going! Late yesterday however, we were back to two humans, four dogs and two cats so we proceeded to investigate the package. At first Monty Ocicat is more interested in resting his weary legs . . .
Buddy Liver Spots is sound asleep!
Suddenly he realises something's afoot . . .

He steps aside to let others see the lovely card with lots of photos of dogs . . . most with pretty butterfly ears . . . and one much larger and more his size. There are rescue chickens too, (an unfamiliar breed to some) and a bright budgie and a lucky black cat!

Suddenly Jenna-the-Labrador sees the packet. It smells inviting!
Frodo the Faller joins in.
Winston Ocicat thinks it's worth a look.
Jenna wants to get everything out before deciding what to play with - or eat!
Jenna shows how to 'pick up' - she is a Working Labrador, after all! Frodo's nosing something . . . wonder what? Whatever it is has caught the attention of Buddy and Winston too but Monty (below) plays cat and mouse with it and then carries it off. It's a little brown hen, though not a rescued one. See the little yellow beak? It had chocolate eggs in it but the humans have taken them away. Jenna shows how tall she can be. What is she striving to reach? Winston and Frodo are curious, too. It's a haggis - but not as we know it. Winston's very cautious - it might attack!
Frodo's much braver but Buddy's older and wiser. Ooh, it squeaks! Not wishing to be trampled or knocked over Gentle Dominie remains on her couch watching anxiously and patience is rewarded. Mmmm, smells good! There's even another little something for the humans - delicious Dean's Oat Biscuits.

Many thanks to Sue and her Gennasus Gang for bringing a smile to all our faces, furry and otherwise, with this thoughtful gift.
If you would like to join in 'Paw It Forward' here are the simple rules.
"The exchange focuses on doing an act of kindness without expecting anything in return other than that the recipient will, in their turn, pass the kindness along and 'paw it forward' in their own way. This is how it works...we are going to agree to send something fun, inspiring or uplifting to the first 3 blog owners who post a comment on this entry. In turn you will then post about this on your blog, link to us, then send something to the first three people who sign up to play along through your blog. There are no cost restraints, BUT don't go crazy! The little something you send can be something you made, bought, were given or found. No biggie, just a gift that will make the person smile. Maybe something unique from where you live? And, remember that kindness doesn't have to involve money; there are untold ways to help others every single day, everywhere you go - just look around."
SO PAW IT FORWARD...
If you are one of the first three to comment and would like to take part then send an email headed 'Paw It Forward' to bmjc@btinternet.com with your address.
