I don’t know whether it’s Christmas or Easter.
We have been eating egg-shaped shortbread biscuits from a rabbit-eared tin. The tin was intended for Charlie and Jack, but we didn’t see them at Easter and the biscuits are now out of date. That’s our excuse, anyway.
The chocolate rabbits had to be consumed, too. It was a chore, I can tell you.
So, if it's true confession time, I've also been known to eat outdated sweets. It's all for the good of not filling landfills with garbage, of course.
ReplyDeleteNaturally!
DeleteThat’s a cute tin. I would have consumed the chocolate rabbits also :)
ReplyDeleteThey are very moreish.
DeleteYou are champions, waste not- eat the lot!
ReplyDeleteCan't throw away good food . . . or even bad.
DeleteThese hardships can only be endured with courage and fortitude.
ReplyDeleteYour are so right!
DeleteLOL at Linda Sue's comment "waste not- eat the lot!"
ReplyDeleteI must say the tin rabbit has a cute look about him.
All the best Jan
I think his ears might look a bit bedraggled after a while.
DeleteAs people grow older, confusion is pretty common. May I assure you that Christmas comes in December and we are not quite there yet. Easter always arrive in March or April. I am happy to have been of service ma'am.
ReplyDeleteThank you. That's cleared up a mystery for me.
DeleteYou soldiered on admirably.
ReplyDeleteToo kind! Thank you.
DeleteIn our homes (my family at least) there is no such thing as left over sweets or cookies.
ReplyDeleteThat's the sign of a well-regulated home.
DeleteWhat a hardship it must have been to eat those chocolate rabbits :-) xxx
ReplyDeleteIt really was! 🐇🐇🐇
DeleteVery clever. I like your thinking!!
ReplyDeleteI'm quite good at justifying the unjustifiable.
DeleteStrangely enough I received an Easter card this week.
