Microfiction Monday #73

Every week Susan from ‘Stony River’ posts a picture to stimulate the imagination. The challenge is to write a story of 140 characters or less, including punctuation and spaces.   It’s fun! Click here to read more and perhaps join in.

Here is this week’s picture and my response.
Was this truly Clark Kent’s grandfather? If so, what had happened to his grandmother? Had she fallen prey to Kryptonite?
(120 characters)

  1. Very creative angle! You thought "outside the frame" with that one. I like it!

  2. Oh gosh, the likeness really is uncanny! Excellent :o)

  3. He does SO look like Christopher Reeves! Great start of a Superman mystery!

  4. I thought of Superman, too, Janice, the resemblance is striking, but I didn't know what to do with him. You're smarter than I am!

  5. Oh my gosh! I didn't see the resemblance at first, but now that you've called our attention to it, it's amazing.

  6. I wonder, is that even possible?
She probably left him and in disgust he had her picture removed.

  7. What a handsome man! And he does look just like Superman. Think of the career he could have had if he lived in our time!

  8. Ha, it does look like Superman. Funny story to go with this photo.

  9. What a cool and clever twist to the tale...great thinking! And so clever of you to spot the obvious resemblance...:)

  10. Yes! I think he looks like Clark/Christopher Reeve too.

Enjoyed this MM. Hope you're having a good week.
