I’ve been busy lately. I’ll let the photos do most of the talking . . .
Day One: Monday 22nd August, Shropshire
Here are just four of the litter of nine fox red puppies
Bertie
Buster
In their new home in Berkshire. Buster is looking at the camera. Bertie is asleep.
Day Two: Tuesday 23rd August
Playtime! Bertie, right, executes a shoulder slam
Bertie practises pouncing on Buster
Time for a snooze
Day Three: Wednesday 24th August
Buster tries stamping on the toy to make it squeak
Buster in the ascendant
Wary Winston wonders whether to move to a higher point . . .
. . . but decides against it
Bertie wonders what's going on . . .
. . . and so does Buster
Later on, Bertie feels lonely because his brother's gone to Dorset to his proper home. Bertie misses his playmate
Day Four: Thursday 25th August
It's just not the same without him
I have been practising my retrieving
I wonder if Buster's done any retrieving. I'll ask him when I see him on Friday.
Okay, what I read here is you picked up two pups and one of them is yours to keep? Oooh, how lovely. There is nothing like a puppy. The softness of them, the sweet smell of them — and puppy breath is nothing at all like dog breath!
ReplyDeleteSo Bertie is yours? He's adorable.

Aaaaw and aaaw again, I'm smiling from ear to ear, WONDERFUL!! :o)
ReplyDeleteOh ! how sweet ! Yes, little Bertie must feel lonely now without his brother, but Winston maybe another playmate ?
ReplyDeleteI suppose you have quiet some work now !
Yes, Bertie is our new puppy. He's the third dog we've had from the same kennels. There will be many, many posts about him and his brother, I'm afraid;-) Buster is my eldest daughter's pup and her second dog from the same kennels.
ReplyDeleteOhhh they are so cute. Can I have one? ^_^
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
Poor Bertie. I'm sure he will be so happy with you though. Beautiful pics!
ReplyDeleteWhat adorable photos of beautiful puppies.
ReplyDeleteI want one now!!!
Enjoy

AWWW puppies! Bertie and Buster are so cute. Wonderful photos, I want one.
ReplyDeleteThose last two poses just tug at your heart (or mine, anyway). I let out an audible groan! Hate to use that over-used word but it fits so exactly -- adorable!!
ReplyDeleteThey are absolutely lovely!
ReplyDeleteWell done!
Have a nice weekend

Congratulations! I am looking forward to many, many posts about Bertie. I hope Winston gets used to Bertie very soon. :)
ReplyDeleteFun! We have two lovebirds (small parrots) that we've been enjoying. Puppies are probably funner.
ReplyDeleteThe puppies are so cute.
ReplyDeleteLove the look on Winston's face! LOL!
Happy times, happy snaps! Good post.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute cuddly pups. Thanks for giving me my first smile of the day.
ReplyDeleteFantastic! Loved this.
ReplyDeleteOh, what lovely pictures! Nothing like a new puppy to hold and to love. Whenever I see pictures like these, I crave another....sigh!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh, altogether now . . . .
ReplyDeleteFirstly, what were you doing in Shropshire and whereabouts in Shropshire were you? You know that I live in Shropshire, don't you?
Ok, I can answer the first question, but what about the rest of them?
What sweet little cuddlebuckets they are, what's the story?
I think my heart just melted.
ReplyDeleteI drooled over those images; they brought back memories of when our own labrador presented us with nine bundles of enthusiasm.
ReplyDeleteWarning: a young labrador can soon destroy a kitchen. I still have a few things that are covered in teeth-marks.
