Microfiction Monday #42
Susan from 'Stony River' organises and hosts this weekly meme. Thank you Susan J She provides a picture and the challenge is to create a story in 140 characters or less – including punctuation! Click here to read more marvels of microfiction – and perhaps join in. It's fun!
Here is this week's picture and my offering.
Desirable location. Needs some refurbishment. Suit first-time buyer.
Bob sighed, How much longer could he carry on writing lies for a living?

Estate agent with a conscience - does not compute, does not compute... My 140 is here
ReplyDeleteI like this salesman with a conscience! There is hope!
ReplyDeleteBwahahaha! Very clever.
ReplyDeleteMany lie for a living.. 'fun'tastic one
ReplyDeleteOh my. So true, I think! A clever microfiction.
ReplyDeleteMade me chuckle...at an open house several months ago I wondered how that poor real estate agent could bear to show his face there: The house was just a dump! Lies, indeed!
ReplyDeleteRick
Ah, many do. If done as 'fact', bad. If done as fiction. Enjoyable. Like this.
ReplyDeleteThis must be the ad AJ, in my story, answered. ha! I love it.

Ah, and so many do just that, but a salesman with a conscience? Hard to believe in this day and age, but I love the idea! Have a great week!

We all must have the same Agent!
ReplyDeletehahahaha...G
Oh, those real estate agents! How do they sleep at night?! I suppose they don't think they are being deceptive, just pointing out the positives in the property, no matter how bad it is!
ReplyDeleteROFLMAO!! Poor Bob. Makes me wonder what else is is not very truthful of. :) Excellent work :)
ReplyDeletelovely humor.
ReplyDeletewell put.
LOVELY!!!....needs 'some' refurbishment indeed!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a twist. I didn't expect to see the saleman at the end.
ReplyDeleteHmm. Something in me is trying to think of a way to re-word it so that he can sell the house and still be honest. Trying to take care of his soul.
Paying the bills is hard sometimes. :)
ReplyDeleteAw, poor Bob! That's a nice human twist on the real-estate-listing angle (I've been *loving* these, so bummed I didn't think of it!)
ReplyDeleteOh--I see what you mean by us being on the same wave-length with this picture. Good one. Poor Bob needs to find a career that better suits his soul. LOL
ReplyDeletePoor Bob, sounds as if he needs to find a new line of work. I guess he isn't in it for the Commission??
ReplyDeleteYou made us pity Bob...What a MFM!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't you hate to have a job like your story person.
ReplyDeleteGreat read!!!!!
