Allegro

The challenge at 'imaginary garden with real toads' was set by Laurie Kolp. Her word, 'allegro' was to be incorporated in an eight-line stanza that had to be written in one minute.
As she said, 'To sum it up: One word (allegro), one octave, one minute.'

I said, ‘Allegro’ to my pup -
‘Twas meant to make him hurry up,
But he just rushed straight back indoors
With lightning haste and muddy paws
And jumped into the litter tray
To piddle quickly. Now each day
He turns his nose up when it’s wet
And pees inside, the little pe(s)t!

  3. Now this made me laugh Janice. You're very clever to do these challenges. It would take me a lot longer than a minute to come up with anything that witty, if I ever did!

  12. Thank you all:-) Unfortunately, Bertie is a little inconsistent in his use of the cat litter tray but he has used it several times and been praised for it. I'm not sure what Winston makes of it, though!

  13. This would have been a worthy offering even without the constraints. With them it's phenomenal.

  16. Little Pest indeed. I once had a dog like this (she has crossed the Rainbow Bridge), and she never DID learn. She was loveable, but....
