Hospitals (2) USA

Hazards of Hospitals

I received an email this morning which contained an ‘infographic’ on the hazards of hospitals.

I have no way of checking its veracity but thought it might prove interesting.

  1. Great post, and I think it's all too true.

  2. Very interesting statistics. My mom says in her day you went to the hospital to die. I guess it is a bit true today. In Canada they do everything they can to keep you out of the hospital. They operate in the morning and send you on home! Of course they make sure you have someone to take care of you.

  3. And another conclusion might be that you shouldn't lick your doctor's neck tie.

  4. Are you glad we've got the NHS, creaking at the seems though it is?

  5. Oh, my. The truth hurts. Great post and I've enjoyed your earlier 'writing' ones.
Its nice to know, also, that we share a love of autumn. I always seem to awaken when we move into that season.

  6. Those are pretty scary statistics. I haven't been in a hospital in decades and I'm going to do my best to stay away.

  7. The Guardian reported this morning that in the 6 months to March 500 people had been killed or seriously injured in safety accidents in NHS hospitals.

We can't complain in Belgium our hospitals and health services are in general very good.
