September song
Sun shines,
Leaves fall,
Love’s gone,
That’s all.
This is the song travelling through my mind this morning . . . Eva Cassidy enchants with her beautiful rendition of a haunting song.
A spot of editing the sizes in this post is needed, Jabblog - or perhaps you need to increase the overall width of your blog in the design section?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the serenade today, and for pedalling the Tandem again, Jabblog.
ReplyDeleteShort and to the point! That's my kinda poem. :)
ReplyDeleteI liked your prose Janice and the video was a nice way to start my day. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI loved that, and Eva Cassidy is just wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI really can't make up my mind whether this is bad or not bad at all!
ReplyDeleteIt's a quandary!
:-) Seems like a beer should be raised to that one, doesn't it?!
ReplyDelete(And Autumn Leaves? One of my favorites. Have played this one on several instruments and will never tire of it.)
Pearl
This is beautiful. Thanks for the treat.

ReplyDeleteHa! Your poem made me smile.

ReplyDeleteI don't see any other URLs but I'll stick mine here anyway. I love the way you have repeated the artwork in a different colour creating quite a different impression.
I like your short, poignant poem - I do. It seems to equate the end of summer with departure of a summer love.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love September Song. I think I'll post a song as well and be a copycat;-)
I love this, short, sweet and to the point.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful version of the song.
Lost love condensed into four little lines. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteDon't care who sings that song . . it ain't a patch on Kurt Weil's "September Song."
