Attempting to access Squirrel Queen's website, 'The Road to Here' I was alerted to potential harm to my computer. I cannot email Squirrel Queen as the warning message appears immediately, not giving me a chance to find her email address. If anyone 'out there' knows her address please could you inform her of the malware. Apparently it's associated with the blog 'anne-mariewithadash'. Google informs that this site has been infected in the past - I wonder if the owner knows?
It's a horrible feeling, to think that someone takes pleasure in infecting innocent bloggers' sites - or maybe it's all quite accidental.
This is horrible experience.

Someone else emailed me about this earlier in the week. I ran a complete diagnosis with Norton 360 and it found nothing. There is no virus or malware on my computer. I am following anne-mariewith a dash but I am going to remove her even though I can't figure out how a follow can plant malware. I will also email her with the info.
ReplyDeleteAbout two months ago I was getting a similar message on several different blogs but when I checked it with my virus program the details showed nothing dangerous.
Thanks for the heads up. By the way, no one is reporting this on my other blog, Through Squirrel Eyes and my profile can be accessed through that one.

Thank you all. I'm pleased that no-one's computer has been infected. There are some clever people 'out there' who use their brains for ill.
ReplyDeleteI removed anne-mariewithadash from my blog roll, that might have been the problem. Her blog has been infected by someone, at the moment she is shut down. That is so sad that our blogs are under attack.
ReplyDeleteI ran four security scans on my blog including Norton Internet Security and Google Webmaster Tools and none of the scans showed any virus or malware on my blog. If you should happen to get the message again please let me know.
